Owen's First Popsicle...

This past week, Wade decided after dinner, it was time to introduce Owen to his first sugar-free Popsicle. The original plan was that they were going to share, but after it was introduced, it was impossible to take it away from him. Every time Wade would take it away from him, he cried. This was a spur of the moment thing and turned out that it was love at first sight. We got the biggest kick out of watching him devour that Popsicle. I couldn't help but share a little bit of this with everyone.

As you can see, he wasn't too sure about it at first. Slow and easy...Baby steps.

But, it didn't take long to figure out the engineering and exactly how to make it work.
For little ole' me?? Bring it on Daddy. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Let's just say that a nice bath followed........I absolutely love this next one. He is looking at Wade like he is obviously confused about who is supposed to be eating here.

We got a glimpse at what a big personality this little guy is going to have. I love watching him grow and learn everyday. It's like I get to live all over again and see things for the first time again. It is pretty incredible.

What a Wonderful Life....

Life couldn't be better in the Butler house. We have been blessed beyond words and couldn't dream a life like this up. We have so very much enjoyed our new little baby boy. So much in fact, that we would love to take this opportunity to give you a peek into our lives and share the moments that define who we are everyday. Our life is very simple, but that's the way we like it. Just good ole love and laughter...That’s what keeps this family going. We want to give a special thanks to all of those who have been a part of this wonderful journey. We are all better people because of you. We hope we can brighten a day here and there with these memories, or at the very least, bring a smile to your face. If you notice to the left of the website, there is an additional link under Owen's Pictures called Snapshots. You can click this link to view additional photos that I couldn't squeeze into the blog. Feel free to go there and browse extra photos. You also have the option to order any prints that you might like to have. Anytime you might be curious as to what may be happening in our neck of woods, just check out our website wcobutler.blogspot.com.

Hello to All...

There are two days that will define my life forever. The first is the day that I married the man of my dreams on May 12, 2006. Wade is the best husband and friend that a girl could ask for. He is so gentle and kind and still gives me butterflies in my stomach. I could not imagine my life without him. The second day was the day that I gave birth to our brand new little boy Owen. People say that when you have a child there is nothing in the whole world like it, and I will go ahead and say that they are right. I never knew you could ache with love like you do for your own child. I am so in love with him and I get a double dose everyday. Because every time I look at his sweet baby face, I see not only see an amazing man in the making, but the love that Wade and I share for one another. The older I get, the more I realize that Father Time waits for no one. Too often we are swept up in life's daily ins and outs, and before we realize it, the day has passed us by. So here is my opportunity to let time stand still and take a moment to reflect on the life that we've been given and to share the moments that take our breath away. It won't all be exciting or even a big deal, but this is our story.
